Antique C18th Indian Solid Hardwood Armoire

Very rustic Indian Antique armoire in good Antique Condition. We believe this is an Antique cupboard possibly C18th or C19th, much of the door panels show pegged construction, which usually indicates an older piece. The naive flower carvings seem to be common in Indian furniture so that seems likely as a country of origin. Please take a good look at the photos, to make your own assessment as I know with these Far Eastern cupboards there are some really convincing reproductions. You can see where the wood on the inside of the doors has been rough sawn, so clearly all hand made.Not sure of the wood but is an exotic Hardwood I think, it has a lovely rich colour. It comes with a solid rustic shelf inside and two solid drawers at the base. Someone had cut a hole in the back perhaps for TV wires, we have just screwed a thin piece of wood to the back to cover the hole but it could easily be uncovered again if required. It is extremely heavy so delivery to ground floor only. Couple of small scratches on the side panel which look a bit more recent otherwise the wear and tear looks older.

Nice brass catches and handle, although they hold the doors together the doors don't close tightly.
