Large Antique French Lime Waxed Oak Sideboard Cupboard Console Table Dresser

Antique Late 19th century Limed Oak and Oak Veneer Sideboard.

Stunning sideboard, with decorative doors featuring quartered cuts to the veneer creating lots of interest and highlighted beautifully by the lime wax finish which gives the effect of the sideboard having been bleached by the sun. Not sure sure of the wood type under the Oak veneer on the top. Some small splits and a couple of chips to veneer on top but these look largely disguised by the lime wax finish. Couple of larger variations in colour on the top - see photos. Charming Provençal styling to this stunning piece. It has wear and tear commensurate with age and use, but is structurally sound. One piece of moulding missing on the under the side of the worktop on one side but we may be able to get one made to match if it is an issue. The interior is in good condition and the fitted interior in the centre cupboard including large hidden drawer which may be a later mid century addition. Very little sign of any old woodworm, but it has been treated as a matter of course. One key which works the two end cupboards, no lock and key to centre cupboards.
